What Cabin

When planning a cruise, passengers first consider how much time they have to travel, which itineraries are of interest, and which cruise lines or ships offer a price within their budget. But often, the latter depends heavily on which stateroom you choose, and with some lines offering 20 or more cabin categories per ship, how do you know which one is best for you? Not to worry: Cost aside, different cabin types have different advantages—as well as disadvantages— so it really comes down to you and your lifestyle; that’s why Sail with Yale and Palm Beach Travel will do all of the planning with you.

Cruising tips:

Re: Boarding. Pack everything you need for your first day in your carryon including  prescriptions and other important items.

Drink Packages. Sometimes included in bookings or can be purchased at a reduced rate before sailing on a cruise website.

Specialty Restaurants.  Often there is an upcharge, but you can experience  an upscale dinning experience with an upscale menu.

Dining Seatings.  Depending on the itinerary, at times it is better to book late dining, because some of the excursions will not get back to the ship in time for the early seating. We can help you with the seating.

Excursions.  Pre-book your excursions when available because they fill up very quickly.

Location, Location, Location. Mid ship or center of ship are the most  popular locations for your stateroom, preferably a balcony or a suite.

Tipping. Many cruises include gratuities in their pricing  or you can have them added to  your booking pre cruise. If you feel you have received exceptional service by a staff member, you can add to their gratuity accordingly.
